Drone surveys solar roof for GLB model import into Eturnity Solar Expert
Eturnity Solar Expert

GLB roof model by drone. Instant Eturnity import.

Eturnity Solar Expert accepts 3D models in GLB format. Voxelia delivers exactly that – georeferenced, dimensionally accurate, from your drone images. Scan the roof, upload, plan.

Project fit

Input in. Target system out.

The first job of this page is clarity: what you send, what you receive, and which target systems the handoff is built for.

Your input

  • Drone images of the roof (80–90% overlap, nadir + oblique)
  • GPS coordinates of the building (for georeferencing)
  • System type: rooftop or ground-mount
  • Optional: notes on obstacles (dormers, HVAC units, chimneys)

Your output

  • GLB file (Eturnity-native 3D import) – roof, facade, surroundings
  • Georeferenced orthophoto (GeoTIFF) as planning base
  • Precise roof measurement: areas, slope angles, eave heights
  • Obstacle map for automatic module placement in Eturnity
  • Handover document with quality seal and coordinate system

Why Eturnity users rely on Voxelia models

Eturnity Solar Expert is the all-in-one CRM for solar installers – from first inquiry to signed contract. The centerpiece: 3D planning based on real building data. Eturnity accepts GLB files directly, with roof, facade, and surroundings in a single model. Working with Voxelia models brings real photogrammetry quality into the proposal process: no hand-drawn roofs, no estimates, no post-correction.

Eturnity automatically calculates slope angles, usable roof area, and suggests optimal module placement from the 3D model. The more accurate the model, the more precise the simulation – and the more convincing the proposal to the end customer. Installers working with Voxelia data close proposal conversations faster because the visual quality builds trust immediately.

Typical use cases

Solar installer uses Voxelia GLB as base for Eturnity proposal – planning in under 10 minutes instead of 2 hours
PV planning office standardizes roof surveying: Voxelia delivers, Eturnity plans, customer signs
Sales rep shows end customer their own roof in 3D viewer on-site – closing rate increases
Complex existing roofs (multi-family, industrial) with precise obstacle maps planned in Eturnity
Quality assurance: GLB model as permanent documentation object in Eturnity project archive

Process

How the handoff works

1

Fly drone, upload images

Submit nadir and oblique shots of the roof. No special drone required – DJI Mini 3 Pro to Mavic 3 Enterprise.

2

Photogrammetric 3D reconstruction

Voxelia processes the images into a millimeter-accurate 3D point cloud model with full georeferencing in the ETRS89 coordinate system.

3

GLB export + quality check

The finished model is exported as GLB and verified for Eturnity compatibility: scale, orientation, texture quality, coordinate transfer.

4

Open in Eturnity, plan immediately

Import GLB into Eturnity Solar Expert → launch automatic module placement → proposal ready in under 3 minutes.

From the project side

Since we import Voxelia models into Eturnity, proposal planning takes less than 10 minutes. The roof is dimensionally accurate, obstacles are included – we just click "Calculate".
